Switching from Windows or Linux and wonder where is the print screen button is?
Here’s few tips for you to do it the easy ways, without installing any extra screen-capture application
1. Screen capture:
To File:
- Hold down Command + Shift + 3 and release all
- Use mouse to click on screen
- File is saved in desktop. DONE!
To Clipboard:
- Hold down Command + Control + Shift + 3 and release all
- Use mouse to click on screen
- File is saved in the clipboard. DONE!
2. Capture a portion of screen
To File
- Hold down Command + Shift + 4 and release all
- Drag your mouse (with the cursor chagne to + ) to select the portion you want to capture.
- Release the mouse & you get the file saved in the desktop. DONE!
To Clipboard:
- Hold down Command + Control + Shift + 4 and release all
- Drag your mouse (with the cursor change to + ) to select the portion you want to capture.
- Release the mouse & you get the file saved in the clipboard. DONE!
3. Capture an application window
To File:
- Hold down Command + Shift + 4 and release all
- Press spacebar once
- Use the mouse (with the cursor change to a camera) to select the application.
- Release the mouse & you get the file saved in the desktop. DONE!
To Clipboard:
- Hold down Command + Control + Shift + 4 and release all
- Press spacebar once
- Use the mouse (with the cursor change to a camera) to select the application.
- Release the mouse & you get the file saved in the clipboard. DONE!
It’s so easy, right? at least for me much better than Windows & Linux
